Indications
- Fractures of the lower limb
- Joint dislocations
- Ligament injuries
- Muscle strains or sprains
- Corrective foot deformities
- Rehabilitation following foot or leg surgeries
Instructions of Use:
- Select the appropriate size of the kit based on the patient’s age: adult or child.
- Prepare the 3 layered foam fabric by folding it into a suitable shape to cover the foot and lower leg area.
- Position the foot inside the foam fabric, ensuring it is comfortable and properly aligned. The foam fabric should cover the entire foot and extend up the lower leg.
- Use the cotton tape to secure the foam fabric in place, wrapping it snugly around the leg but not too tight to impede circulation.
- Attach the M-angle device to the foot, ensuring it maintains the desired angle and position. The M-angle provides support and helps maintain the correct alignment during traction therapy.
- Connect one end of the string to the M-angle and the other end to the traction weight, which is based on the prescribed traction force.
- Ensure the traction weight is securely attached and that it is freely suspended without any obstructions.
- Regularly check the patient’s comfort level and ensure proper circulation to the foot during traction therapy. Adjust the traction force as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Monitor the patient during the traction therapy session and make any necessary adjustments to maintain the desired traction force and proper alignment.
- Follow the prescribed duration and frequency of traction therapy sessions as recommended by a healthcare professional.
- After the therapy session, carefully remove the foam fabric, M-angle, string, and cotton tape from the foot and leg.
- Store the Foot/Skin Traction Kit in a clean and dry place, ensuring all components are properly secured for future use.
Note: The Foot/Skin Traction Kit (Non-Adhesive) should be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional. It is essential to follow the instructions and recommendations provided by a healthcare professional for safe and effective traction therapy
